Baked Pizza Dip

This Baked Pizza Dip is a crowd-pleasing appetizer that combines all the classic pizza flavors into a warm, cheesy, bubbly dip. Quick to prepare and easily customizable, it blends creamy cheeses, tangy pizza sauce, and savory pepperoni or vegetables for a perfect party or game day snack.

Ingredients

Scale

Base

  • 8 oz Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup Pizza Sauce
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Dried Italian Herbs (oregano, basil, thyme blend)

Cheeses

  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup Pepperoni Slices

Optional

  • Red Pepper Flakes, to taste (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Start by heating your oven to 375°F (190°C) to ensure even baking and perfect melting of the cheeses.
  2. Mix the Cream Cheese Base: In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, pizza sauce, garlic powder, and dried Italian herbs. Stir until smooth and fully blended to create a flavorful dip base.
  3. Add Cheese and Toppings: Fold shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan into the base mixture. Transfer this cheesy blend into a baking dish and smooth it out evenly. Scatter pepperoni slices on top for that classic pizza taste.
  4. Bake Until Golden and Bubbly: Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until the edges are golden and the cheese is bubbling invitingly.
  5. Finishing Touches: Once out of the oven, sprinkle red pepper flakes if desired for heat, and garnish with fresh herbs like basil or parsley to brighten the dip.

Notes

  • Use room temperature cream cheese for easy blending without lumps.
  • Don’t skimp on the cheese for the perfect gooey texture.
  • Try baking in a cast-iron skillet to achieve crispy edges.
  • Assemble the dip earlier in the day and bake just before serving to save time.
  • Serve warm for the best flavor and melty cheese experience.
