Instructions

  1. Prepare the Halloumi: Slice the halloumi into evenly sized cubes, about 1-inch thick, so they grill evenly without falling apart. Pat dry any excess moisture to ensure better browning and prevent sticking on the grill.
  2. Marinate with Lemon and Thyme: In a bowl, combine fresh lemon juice, olive oil, and chopped thyme leaves. Toss the halloumi cubes gently in this mixture, allowing the flavors to infuse for at least 10 minutes.
  3. Skewer the Cheese: Thread the marinated halloumi cubes onto skewers carefully, leaving small gaps between pieces for even cooking and easier flipping.
  4. Grill to Perfection: Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes per side until golden grill marks appear and the cheese is crisp on the outside and soft inside.
