Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 wheel of Brie cheese (good-quality, mild and creamy)
  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks (ripe and juicy)
  • 1 cup ripe mango slices
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1/4 cup toasted macadamia nuts
  • Fresh mint leaves (for garnish)

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (optional, for encasing the cheese and fruit)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Fruit: Peel and chop fresh pineapple and mango into bite-sized pieces. Ensure the fruit is ripe and juicy to maximize flavor.
  2. Arrange the Brie: If using puff pastry, roll it out and place the brie wheel in the center. If not using pastry, place the brie on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  3. Top with Pineapple and Mango: Scatter the pineapple chunks and mango slices evenly over and around the brie, allowing the fruit to be visible.
  4. Drizzle Honey and Add Nuts: Lightly drizzle honey over the brie and fruit, then sprinkle toasted macadamia nuts on top to add crunch and nutty flavor.
  5. Bake to Perfection: Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 15-20 minutes until the brie is soft and melty and, if puff pastry is used, it becomes golden and crisp.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, top with fresh mint leaves, and serve immediately with crackers, sliced baguette, or tropical-themed dippers.

Notes

  • Use fresh, ripe pineapple and mango for the best flavor and natural sweetness.
  • Do not overbake the brie; the cheese should be melty but not runny or dried out.
  • Toast macadamia nuts ahead of time to enhance their flavor and crunch.
  • Choose mild, floral honey to complement the tropical fruit without overpowering the dish.
  • Serve the baked brie warm for the best texture and taste.
