Pepperoni Pizza Bombs Recipe

Pepperoni Pizza Bombs are delicious bite-sized snacks filled with gooey mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and zesty marinara sauce wrapped in golden, crispy dough. Perfect for quick dinners, game days, or anytime cravings, these portable pizza pockets offer the classic pizza flavors in a fast and fun form that’s kid-friendly and easily customizable.

Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • Pizza dough (store-bought or homemade) – enough to roll out into a large rectangle
  • Pepperoni slices – about 20-25 slices
  • Mozzarella cheese (shredded or sliced) – 1 to 1½ cups
  • Marinara sauce – ½ cup
  • Olive oil – 1-2 tablespoons, for brushing
  • Italian seasoning – 1 teaspoon
  • Parmesan cheese (optional) – 2 tablespoons, grated

Instructions

  1. Prepare the dough: Roll out your pizza dough on a lightly floured surface into an even, thin rectangle about ¼ inch thick to ensure even baking.
  2. Add the fillings: Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border to seal. Layer pepperoni slices over the sauce, then sprinkle a generous amount of shredded mozzarella cheese on top without overfilling to prevent leaks.
  3. Roll and cut: Carefully roll the dough tightly from one edge to the other creating a log. Using a sharp knife, cut into 1½-inch thick slices to form individual pizza bombs.
  4. Arrange and season: Place the pizza bombs cut-side up on a greased or parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush the tops lightly with olive oil, then sprinkle Italian seasoning and optional parmesan cheese for added flavor.
  5. Bake to perfection: Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-18 minutes or until the dough is golden and cooked through and the cheese inside is bubbly and melted. Let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use cold pizza dough for easier rolling and slicing.
  • Don’t overfill the bombs to avoid leaking during baking.
  • Seal the edges firmly by pinching the dough to keep fillings inside.
  • Rotate the baking pan halfway through baking for even browning.
  • Serve warm for the best melty and cheesy experience.
