Instructions

  1. Prepare the Salmon: Drain canned salmon thoroughly and remove any large bones or skin. If using fresh salmon, cook it fully then flake it finely once cooled.
  2. Mix the Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the salmon, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, fresh parsley or dill, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Add beaten eggs and breadcrumbs gradually until the mixture holds together without being overly wet.
  3. Shape the Patties: Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into a round, flat patty about ¾ inch thick for even cooking.
  4. Fry the Patties: Heat a generous amount of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry each patty for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp on the outside, yet tender inside.
  5. Drain and Serve: Place cooked patties on a paper towel-lined plate to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite sides or garnishes.
